Hey, everyone!

If you haven’t noticed already, I made some serious changes to my website today.  Not sure what or why?  Let me give you the rundown.

Okay, so around the time that Conspirocracy was being released, I was in the process of refining the paper form of my resume.  If i’m going to be showing it to anyone, I want it to look as clean and orderly as possible.  When I finished that, it was brought to my attention that maybe I should change how my resume  looks here on the site as well.  Originally, when you click on  “Resume” up at the top, it wouldn’t actually take you to my resume.  It would take you to 4 links: Commericals, Gaming,  Animation, and Radio and Internet.  From those four links, you then finally get to see my credits, but only the credits that would fall under that category.  You would have to backtrack a page and click on a different link to see more of my credits.   I realized that this was needless busy work and it needed a complete revamp.

So I tore down all the links and deleted the 4 credits pages.  Using the format from the paper resume and a new plugin that makes tables, I was able to create a simple and neat resume that requires no links whatsoever.  All of my credits are still organized into categories, but the most you’ll be doing is simply scrolling down the page to see them.  Hopefully with this format, it’ll be easier for viewers and potential clients to see my work without having to do much clicking.

I felt so proud about my newly designed resume page that I didn’t want to stop there.  I noticed that just my basic blog was victim to the evil link plague.  Like the old resume, when you click on “Blog” on the top, it didn’t take you to the actual blog.  You would then see category links: Announcements, News, and Random.  I figured that this wouldn’t do, so like last time, I deleted the pages and links and condensed everything into a single page.  Instead of a static page with links to the blog categories, the Blog button now just takes you to my latest posts.  However, it order to keep a clean look, the posts on the new page will only give little summaries so that they don’t take up too much space and clutter everything up on the page.  In other words, you’ll still have to click on the post’s title in order to read the complete story.  Hopefully that won’t be a problem.

I feel that these changes were just the thing my site needed in order to look more professional and less cluttered.  The last thing I want is for someone to send me a email saying they got lost in links or something.

Anyway, hope you all enjoy the changes I made.  My next post most likely will be my report of Anime Crossroads this weekend.  Hope to see some awesome people there.

Stay Awesome! (^.^)b
