I, for one, am SUPER STOKED for the Ratchet and Clank movie coming soon. It’s one of my favorite game series. It looks like they’re actually putting effort into this one, at least to me it does. One of the things that has me super excited is that they’re keeping the original cast. James Arnold Taylor for Ratchet, David Kaye for Clank, and Jim Ward for Captain Quark, the voice acting trio that really brought these characters to life.

THAT BEING SAID, why the hell are these names on the movie poster??????

Now, I do understand the concept that, from a producer’s perspective, it helps to have a AAA Hollywood name attached to a movie because people love those actors/actresses and that’s what pulls them in. They recognize those names. However, what I don’t get is why they’re seemingly getting more attention than the actual leads. James, David, and Jim are the true stars of the movie and we want to know that they’re there more than these guys on the poster. From my perspective, the only people that would see this movie are the ones who played the games and they’re gonna want to know that the cast has been preserved. It’s great that regular voice actors are going to be the stars in a movie like this, but it just pisses me off that they’re still not getting the attention that they deserve. This could have been a perfect opportunity for people to start learning and remembering the names of regular voice actors as well as AAA Hollywood actors.
